This website is the home of the annual Diwali Mela celebration that is held in the Washigton-Maryland-Virginia area. Here you will find information on the upcoming Diwali Mela held at the FedExField Landover MD. The Association of Hindu Jain Temples of Metropolitan Washington (UHJT) is a non-profit, joint partnership of Hindu and Jain temples in the MD-DC-VA area. Together, we enrich, promote and raise awareness of the Hindu and Jain cultural identity and heritage in America and all over the world. We cordially invite you to explore and learn more about the Hindu and Jain temples in the Metropolitan Washington and to use this website as a guide to learn more about Diwali Mela (The Celebration of Lights - an annual festival celebrated by over a billion Hindus and Jains all across the planet).
